Don't be evil Steve: Steve Jobs attacks Google in speech to employees

As you may have read in the blogosphere Steve Jobs CEO of Apple has made so very "interesting" comments regarding Android and Adobe.

In a speech at a conference that has been referred to as a town hall meeting with employees of Apple, Jobs stated that:
"On Google: We did not enter the search business, Jobs said. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won’t let them, he says. Someone else asks something on a different topic, but there’s no getting Jobs off this rant. I want to go back to that other question first and say one more thing, he says. This don’t be evil mantra: “It’s *******.” Audience roars"
Has Steve Jobs cracked or is this a clearly executed attempt to say to Google "Its on!!!"

This clearly shows that perhaps Jobs is starting to feel Android nipping at his heals. General rule of thumb in my opinion when a top business leader attacks competition, and then defends his/her company, it generally means they are feeling the heat. Its incredibly unprofessional, and shows that the "conventional" ways of beating off competition aren't working.
"We did not enter the search business, Jobs said. They entered the phone business."
This speech however was not made in front of the media it was made in front of employees and was leaked by an anonymous source, so maybe he was just "rallying the troops".

This statement can easily be interpreted as Jobs saying that Google is on our turf, and that Apple has the home field advantage. The fact that Jobs won't move away from his rant shows this is a planned rant, that he has decided to wants to do. Jobs then ironicaly attempts to quash the "Dont be evil" saying that Google lives by...by being evil. He even goes as far as to says it is "BS".

One could even go as far as to say that maybe Jobs is feeling the heat from a clear failure with the MaxiPad.

Regardless I feel this is just another reason why Google and Android are taking the consumer from Apple. Consumers like to be with nice corporations, it's refreshing.
